Yes, we’re back with yet another Reliance byte. Booyah!
Its retail arm, Reliance Industries, has yet another plan to make India live the life of Riley.
A potential partnership with London-based luxury gourmet, gifting, and hospitality retail chain Fortnum & Mason is underway.
The Group is exploring multiple options for India, which could include physical stores as well as an online presence.
Only days ago, we broke it to you that Reliance is partnering with British F&B Co., Pret A Manger to open outlets in India.
F&M will be Reliance’s second indulgence in the F&B sector.
Now that’s some English cuisine coming your way!
Fortnum & Mason is a 300-year-old British luxury department store chain known for curated premium foods, wine, and spirits, gifting, and restaurants.
It also happens to be the official grocer to Her Majesty The Queen!
Expansion Plans: F&M is getting serious about expanding its presence – starting with Asia post-pandemic.
Its first online store in China opened last month.
The luxury chain also set up its first fully-owned and operated shop and restaurant in Hong Kong in 2019, paving the way for a large-scale presence in Asia.
Too long? Here’s a one-liner: London-based luxury gourmet, gifting, and hospitality retail chain Fortnum & Mason is looking to expand its presence in Asia; holds talks with Reliance for partnership.
