One ring to mule them all – or to be more precise – a one-stop shop for a host of services. For India’s biggest business giants, the SuperApp is the next battleground. After Jio, Flipkart-Phonepe, and Paytm, next on the cards of Indian-origin super apps is Tata Group’s super app, Tata Neu, which is set for release on April 7. Here’s the inside scoop.

So after years spent in the making, delays, and other dismay, the salt-to-software giant’s attempt to counter its rivals – Amazon and Jio – is finally taking shape. The Tata Group will encapsulate all its services and acquired businesses under one roof.

What’s so super about it?

From recent acquisitions like BigBasket and 1Mg, booking Air Asia flights, or Taj Group properties, Neu covers it all. Croma and Westside are also part of the umbrella. Further, the super app allows money transfers and bill payments for broadband, electricity, water, and DTH.

Loyalty pays!

For spending on the app, the company will generously reward its users with NeuCoins, where one NeuCoin equals one Indian rupee. These can be redeemed on the super apps’ services.

Sounds crazy? Well, this loyalty program is indeed the biggest of its kind in the country so far!

Currently, Tata Neu is being tested on thousands of Tata employees. A few days ago, the 154-year old giant also teased Google Play Store users with its app. The ballyhoo for Neu began publicly with the ongoing IPL tournament.

Too long? Here’s a one-liner: Tata Group’s super app, Tata Neu, set to launch on April 7, covers a host of its services like bill payments, 1Mg, Croma, BigBasket, and more; teasers released on Google Play Store.
